1. Won’t you have another look AT these shoes? I think it’s just the pair FOR you. (Смысл в том, что – эта пара просто создана для тебя/ это то что тебе надо)
2. Will you please ask that man what time it is ON his watch? I’m afraid mine is JUST/ ONLY
five or six minutes slow. (поскольку по условию можно использовать наречия, здесь
подойдут два на выбор, но смысл, я думаю, не поменяется – часы отстают всего на 6 минут) 3. I wonder whether they are coming AT half PAST two or AT three. (Возможно, конечно, и перед three поставить PAST, но мне кажется это маловероятным. Думаю, они выбирают между 2:30 и 3:00)
4. He spoke IN such a low voice that we couldn’t hear him.
5. They’ll be going TO/ TOWARDS the East one of these days. (здесь тоже на выбор два предлога)
