Ошибка в Упр.2 Предложение 5. Согласно вашим ответам здесь нужно вставить himself.Однако, слова baby (ребенок) и child (ребенок) когда пол не важен или не известен говоря­щему соотносится в предложении с местоимением it;

Или местоимение употребляется на усмотрение говорящего, что прослеживается намного чаще в современном языке. Однако, согласна и с вашей ремаркой

Reflexive Pronouns

Возвратные местоимения в английском языке используются, когда лицо производит действие, направленное на себя. В русском языке они соответствуют местоимениям «сам» и «себя» или частице —ся у глаголов. Например, «поранил кого-то» – это прямое действие, а «поранился» – возвратное. В английском же к местоимению добавляется частица —self (в единственном числе) или -selves (во множественном), например:

He cut himself. – Он порезался.

I did it myself. – Я сам это сделал.

She introduced herself when entered the room. – Она представилась, когда вошла в комнату.

I hope you didn’t hurt yourself. – Я надеюсь, ты не поранился.

Чтоб не было слишком просто, поговорим немного про нюансы употребления данных местоимений.

• Возвратные местоимения в английском языке часто используются с предлогомby, когда кто-то осуществляет действие в одиночестве, либо самостоятельно (без чьей-либо помощи):

She likes living by herself – Она любит жить одна. (без кого-либо)

Can he do it by himself? – Он может сделать это сам? (без чьей-либо помощи)

• Возвратные местоимения в разговорной речи вы часто встретите в конструкции с глаголом в различных выражениях типа:

-do it yourself (сделай это сам)

-take care of yourself (позаботься о себе/береги себя)

-make yourself comfortable (чувствуй себя как дома)

-enjoy yourself (получай удовольствие)

-behave yourself (веди себя прилично)

-find myself somewhere (оказаться где-то)

The sick man can’t take care of himself. – Больной мужчина не может о себе заботиться.

Make yourself comfortable and help yourself to the cake. – Располагайтесь (чувствуйте себя как дома) и угощайтесь тортом.

Suddenly I found myself in the city center — Внезапно я оказалась в центре города.

• Возвратные местоимения мы не используем послепредлогов места.

He closed the door behind him. – Он закрыл за собой дверь.

She had a suitcase beside her. – У нее был чемодан рядом с собой.

• И напоследок лайфхак:

Чтобы точно знать, использовать возвратное или личное местоимение, мысленно подставляйте в предложение слово «сам». Например: I bought myself a new car. – Я купила себе новую машину. (купила сама себе)

Если же подставить слово «сам» по смыслу не получается, мы используем личное местоимение в объектном падеже: I will take this bag with me. – Я возьму эту сумку с собой.
