Часто начинающие изучать английский язык затрудняются, что поставить в предложение: прилагательное или наречие. Действительно, иногда бывает сложно определить, какую часть речи использовать, хотя есть несколько базовых правил.

Упражнение 1. Adjective or adrerb?

He always does his homework (quick, quickly).
Her homework is usually (good, well).
He writes (correct, correctly).
He speaks English (good, well).
She likes Moscow very (strongly, much).
The boys played (quiet/quietly).
My little sister draws (good/well).
Mr. Slow is a bad worker. He works (slow and bad, slowly and badly).
He never speaks (angry, angrily).
He never says (angry, angrily) words.

Упражнение 2. Adjective or adverb?

She lives (near, nearly) the center of Moscow.
She lives not (far, farther) from the center of Moscow.
Silvia has a strong voice. She always sings (loud, loudly).
On Sundays all people like to get up (late, lately)
It is too (late, lately).
He is also (good, well) at literature and history.
She’s always very (polite, politely).
When she steps on somebody’s foot, she says, “I’m (terrible, terribly) sorry.”
I try not to go to bed (late, lately).
They study (hard, hardly).
They make (great, greatly) progress with their studies.
He behaves (good, well).
His essays are usually (good, well).
It’s not (easy, easily) to play football.

Задание 3. Поставьте наречие в скобках на нужное место в предложении.

Задание 4. Поставьте наречие в скобках в нужную степень сравнения.
