Добрый день. Прежде чем перейти непосредственно к выполнению упражнений на постановку окончаний –ed и –ing у прилагательных и причастий в английском языке, предлагаю просмотреть таблицу и вспомнить некоторые из самых частых случаев, где обычно допускаются ошибки

amazing – поразительный, потрясающий

amazed – пораженный, потрясенный

annoying – надоедливый, раздражающий

terrifying – ужасающий, пугающий

terrified – в ужасе, напуганный

А сейчас перейдем к упражнениям.

Окончания –ed / -ing.

Упражнение 1. Выберите правильный вариант ответа.

Прилагательные на -ED/-ING (или причастия) часто вызывают трудности в употреблении. Чтобы разобраться, когда употреблять прилагательное на ED, а когда на ING, нужно запомнить следующее.

Правило, когда употреблять прилагательное на -ED/-ING:

Прилагательное на -ED характеризует СОСТОЯНИЕ предмета (человека):

ПРИМЕР. interested — заинтересованный, tired — уставший,

Прилагательное на -ING характеризует КАЧЕСТВО предмета (человека):

ПРИМЕР. interesting -интересный, tiring — утомляющий
